Can you tell me the ruling on reading al-Masad during prayers? I heard some people saying it is makruh, whilst most of my teachers say it is not.
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
It is permissible to recite chapter Al-Masad (Quran 111) during the prayer. This chapter is like any other chapter of Quran, and there is no evidence on the dislikeability of reciting it during the prayer. No scholar has ever said that it is disliked to recite it during the prayer.
Allaah Knows best.
