Is it permissible to read the Quran while sitting on a chair in front of a table inside the mosque especially for the elderly and rheumatic?
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
There is no harm in reading the Quran while sitting on a chair in a mosque or in any other place for the elderly and others. Allaah Says (what means): {Who remember Allaah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and the earth, [saying], “Our Lord, You did not create this aimlessly; exalted are You [above such a thing]; then protect us from the punishment of the Fire.}[Quran 3:191].
Allaah Knows best.
