Question
What is Siwaak? From which tree is it taken off? What is its importance?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
The Siwaak is a stick by which one cleanses his teeth. This stick is taken from many trees, the best of which is the Araak tree. Among the benefits of Siwaak is that “it cleanses the mouth and is a pleasure to the Lord.”, as the Prophet 
said as in a narration that is reported by Ahmad and An-Nasaa'ee
and reported by ‘Aa'ishah
