Question
Is the animal dung impure?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
The most preponderant opinion of scholars
is that the dung and urine of animals the meat of which we are allowed to eat, are pure. However, the dung of the animals, the meat of which we are not allowed to eat, is impure. The evidence is that the Prophet 
used to perform the prayer in sheep pens before he built the mosque. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
It is also reported that a group of people from the tribe of 'Uraynah came to the Prophet and gave pledge to him. However, since they disliked residing in Madeenah and did not like the climate, the Prophet ordered some camels to be brought to him, and ordered them to drink from their milk and urine. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
