Question
I need someone to answer I'm lost I meet someone on the net last 2-years and we meet we get married Islamic way with witnesses in Australia. I love him so much but he has no job when we meet he said to me he has exam to pass then will be together I wait for 2 years nothing happen he never had his exam now I'm in the USA he is in Sydney we don't talk since 2 month we had fight now I need to divorce can I do khulu and send him paper or what should I do he does not call me or try to find communication he never give Maher he dose not support me never he never spend penny for me, I just want to know what to do if I can do Khulu. Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
If your marriage was completed fulfilling all the conditions that are compulsory for a marriage to be valid Islamicly then you have to try your best to fix your marital problem. The conditions of a marriage are mentioned in Fatwa 90410.
If living together and continuing this marriage becomes impossible then you may seek to obtain Khul' from him.
