Question
How should we dispose of media, on which Qur’an, Hadith's are written; for example, newspaper columns, old books, hand written notes, clothes, metal plates.
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
You can get rid of these newspapers, magazines and books that contain Qur'anic verses by burning them, or burying them in the ground, or wetting them with water in a way that erases what is needed to be erased, or by putting them in a shredder.
In relation to Qur’anic verses on clothes and plates, they can be erased with any pure material that could remove the writings.
