Question
I want to know if there are names for birds in Heaven. If yes please let me know the names as soon as possible.
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. We do not have any evidence proving or denying the existence of names of birds in Heaven. However, we believe that such matters do not benefit a person, on the contrary, it is waste of one's precious time in useless things. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: It is part of the excellence of a person's Islam that he should discard that is of no benefit to him . [ al-Tirmizi , Ibn Majah , and Ahmad . al-Tirmizi graded it Hasan]. Imam al-Shatibi said: Indulging in any matter that is not related to one's actions is not recommended in Shariah. The evidence is the whole Shariah, which does not approve any unbeneficial matter . Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {They ask you (O Muhammad SAW) about the new moons. Say: These are signs to mark fixed periods of time for mankind and for the pilgrimage….}[2:189]. In this verse Allah did not give a detailed answer about the new moon except that which is needed for practice. Likewise when they enquired about the time of the Last Day, Allah Said: {You have no knowledge to say anything about it,}[79:43]. Meaning, that the time of the Last Hour is not important, the important is performing good deeds. Also, when the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) was asked about the time of the Last Hour, he did not answer the question directly, instead he said to the inquirer: "What have you prepared for that time?" Once Umar recited the verse: {And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.),}[80:31] and said, 'we know fruits what is "Abba", then he said: "We were told not to bother about things that are not necessary for us". Allah knows best.
