Fatwa CenterMarried Couple Showing Affection and Having Sex in the Bathroom
Question
After returning from a long trip can a husband greet his wife by kissing her cheeks in front of his/her parents? Can husband and wife take a bath together? Can they have sex in bathroom?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
There is no objection if a man who comes from a journey hugs or kisses his wife in front of her parents in the usual way that people do when they meet after a period of separation.
But there should not be any kind of sexual pleasure in such an act that transgresses good manners and ethics.
It is lawful for the spouses to take a bath together as this is narrated from ‘Aa’ishah 
who said: "I used to perform Ghusl (ritual bath due to Janaabah) along with the Prophet . We used to take water with our hands from the same receptacle."
As for having sex in the bathroom, it is not desirable as the bathroom is a refuge for devils and impurities. So, it is not appropriate that Muslims enjoy sex there.
