It has been narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "Whoever asks blessings for me at my grave, I hear him, and whoever asks blessings upon me from afar, it is conveyed to me" .
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
The Hadeeth mentioned in the question is reported by Al-Bayhaqi in his book: 'Shu’ab al-Eemaan'. According to Al-Baihaqi, Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Prophet said: “Whoever invokes blessings on me at my grave, I hear him, and whoever invokes blessing on me in a remote place, it is conveyed to me."
But this Hadeeth is weak as graded by Imam Ibn Katheer in his Tafseer (explanation of the Quran). Al-Mannaawi said: 'Al-‘Aqeeli said, this Hadeeth has no foundation.” Ibn Dihya said: “It is rejected and nobody except Muhammad Ibn Marwan as-Suddi narrated it and he was known to be a liar. So, this Hadeeth is not authentic, and thus, it is rejected as it is fabricated.
Allah knows best.
