Question
Has science shown any evidence of the "splitting of the moon" according to Surat Al-Qamar (54) in Qur'an? If so where can I find it?
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
All the interpreters of Qur'an are agreed that what is meant by "the splitting of the moon" in the verse you mentioned is the miracle that Allah gave his Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) when the polytheists asked him to ask his Lord to split the moon.
As for the modern scientific discoveries, we do not know their results on this issue.
