Question
Am I allowed to read books on seduction and attracting women that were written by non-Muslims so that I may apply what they contain with my wife? These tips are really effective. The books teach how to tease a girl, be mysterious to her, be a challenge to her, and so on, in order to attract her. Can I benefit from them in addition to benefiting from the biography of Prophet Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, regarding how to treat one's wife given that everything is halal except for what is explicitly known to be haram?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
We do not know the content of these books. If these books contain indecent pictures or the like that cause Fitnah (temptation), then it is impermissible to read them, because the Islamic Sharia forbids whatever leads to Fitnah (temptation). Abu Hurayrah 
narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said, “Verily, Allah has fixed the very portion of adultery which a man will indulge in and which he will inevitably commit. The adultery of the eye is the lustful look, and the adultery of the tongue is the licentious speech; the heart desires and yearns, and the private parts may or may not put it into effect.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim. This is the wording of Muslim]
However, if these books do not contain any indecent pictures and material but include a set of guidelines and tips on how a man can seduce and attract a woman, as mentioned in the question, then there is no harm in reading them provided that they do not include indecent language or detailed descriptions of intimacy between men and women. It is most likely that such books are not void of Sharia violations. Therefore, it is advisable that you avoid them and settle for the Sharia-accepted sources.
