Is this narration authentic: During the Night Journey, the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, saw a heavenly woman in paradise that looked shy and isolated herself from her friends. So the Prophet, sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam, asked Gabriel, "Whose heavenly woman is that, o Gabriel?" And Gabriel said, "She is for your Companion ʻUmar ibn Al-Khattaab, may Allaah be pleased with him. When he tried to visualize the beauty of Eden you once spoke off, he imagined a heavenly woman of dark skin, a high forehead, with red color in her upper pupil and blue in her lower pupil, and that is shy. Because your Companion always fulfilled Allaah’s commands right away, Allaah immediately made him a heavenly wife as he wished."
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
We do not know this hadeeth in such a context. However, it has been authentically reported on the authority of Abu Hurayrah that he said:
"While we were in the company of the Messenger of Allaah, he said, 'While I was asleep, I saw myself in Paradise, and there I beheld a woman making ablution beside a palace. I asked, 'To whom does this palace belong?' They said, 'To ʻUmar ibn Al-Khattaab.' Then, I remembered ʻUmar's ghayrah (protective jealousy for his women), and so I quickly went away from that palace.' (When ʻUmar heard this from the Prophet ), he wept and said, "Would I feel ghayrah because of you, O Messenger of Allaah?'" [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Allaah knows best.
