Question
AssalamualaikumRespected shaykhIm 15 years old and currently studying in tenth standard. Near my class in grade one there is a girl who plays with me and as I do not have a sister I love her a lot and play with her too. And I swear I do not get any satanic thoughts about her or about girls.My question is can I continue the same in future to. I do not have a sister so I love her a lot.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
There is nothing wrong with just playing with this little girl but it is not proper to play with her in excess. It may be more appropriate to avoid this especially if this is something unusual in your community. If you fear temptation, you must avoid her in order to avoid prohibitions and the causes that lead to temptation. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 92003.
