Porn websites are haraam undoubtedly. Now the way they make money is from viewers clicking on the sight and viewing adverts on the sight from people viewing the site. My queston is if a Muslim viewed it for sinful purposes (which is wrong and should stop) they have provided the website with money indirectly. Will this person hold continuous sin forever as they helped the porn company financially. I hope my question makes sense.
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
There is no doubt that it is forbidden for a Muslim to access pornographic websites. If one accesses them and watches the videos on them, and the case is as you mentioned in the question, that he assists the owners of the site in gaining money, then he is sinful in two ways: The first is by looking at what is forbidden; the second is by helping these sinful people gain money. Therefore, whoever did so is obliged to sincerely turn back to Allaah in repentance. For the conditions of sincere repentance, please refer to Fatwa 86527.
If someone repents, Allaah accepts his repentance and the blame on him is not recurring. The scholars have stated that if someone repents from a sin and the effects of the sin remain, his repentance is still accepted, such as if someone propagated a religious innovation and then repented from it.
