Question
I am unable to have intercourse with my wife. Is it permissible for me to go to a man who apparently treats magic using Sharee‘ah-approved methods?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alyhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
If treatment of magic is confined to using Sharee‘ah-approved Athkaar (mentionings of Allaah) and herbal medicine, then it is permissible. However, if the therapist uses charms, summons Jinn or resorts to any other prohibited method, then it is impermissible to go to this man.
