Fatwa CenterA woman washing clothes while in a state of ritual impurity
Question
as slamu alaikum.i have taharat and gas problems.my question is without purity can i wash clothes,which we have to wear to do namaz.can i clean house
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
It is permissible for you to wash your clothes, clean your house and do whatever you want while you are not in a state of ritual purity. Ablution is only a condition for performing the prayer, performing Tawaaf (circumambulation around the Ka’bah) and touching the Mus-haf (the Arabic text of the Quran). Apart from this, it is permissible to do anything without being in a state of ritual purity.
