salam alaikoum, is it ok to work in medical lab (pathology)where a lot of alcohol is used to prepare slides for pathologists to diagnos diseases.as a lab technician i have to handle alcohol and use it. thanks
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
It is permissible for you to work in that lab; and we hope that your touching alcohol is forgiven because of need.
However, when you want to pray, you should first purify the parts of your body that came in contact with alcohol, because alcohol is impure according to the majority of the jurists.
