Question
i have a question regarding contract marriage i am an 18yrs old girl i want to go to UK someone suggested i do contract marriage with a christian boy to get visa and then he will divorce me after 2yrs mean while i have to pay some amount for that.i want to know if this is right according to islamic way. As this paper marriage is just for the and so i can study there beside that i have nothing to do with boy. i will be extremly thankful to u if u could guide me to the right path
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
We have already issued Fatwa 89291 clarifying that this fake marriage contract is forbidden even if it is between a Muslim woman and a Muslim man, let alone between a Muslim woman and a non-Muslim man.
Among the most serious prohibitions of such a marriage between a Muslim woman and a non-Muslim man, in addition to being a trick and deceit, is that this man may adhere to this contract and make it as evidence that she is his wife, and this may make her agree to live with him in Zina (fornication and/or adultery as this is not a valid marriage) or even apostate from Islam to be on the same religion like him. This is indeed darkness upon darkness. Therefore, you should absolutely avoid doing this.
Furthermore, a Muslim woman’s residing in such a country [i.e. a non-Muslim country] is harmful to her religion and dignity. Hence, you should try to study in your country so that you would be safe in regard to your religion and dignity. For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 86405.
