All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
We could not find the narration to which you referred in the question among the Islamic resources and books which we have at hand despite their great number. Giving a specific number of years which a person will abide in Hellfire is evidence that this narration is fabricated.
The texts which were mentioned in the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the Prophet are enough a deterrence from abandoning the prayers. For instance Allaah Says (what means): {But there has succeeded them a prosperity who have given up prayers [i.e. made their prayers to be lost either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times] and have followed desires; so they will be thrown in Hellfire.}[Quran 19:59]. Allaah further Says (what means): {So woe to those who perform the prayer. Those who delay their prayer from their stated fixed time.}[Quran 107:4-5]. Moreover, the Prophet said: "Whoever abandons 'Asr prayer, his actions become rejected." [Al-Bukhari]
Allaah Knows best.
