All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
It is confirmed in the Qur'an that Allaah does not like except those who believe in Him and do righteous good deeds and He hates those who disbelieve in him. On one hand, Allaah says (which means): {Indeed, Allaah loves the doers of good.}[5:13]. Allaah also says (which means): {Indeed, Allaah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves.}[2:222]. In another verse Allaah says (which means): {Indeed, Allaah loves those who act justly.}[5:42]. On the other hand, Allaah says (which means): {Indeed, He does not like the disbelievers.}[30:45]. Allaah further says (which means): {Indeed, Allaah loves not one who is a habitually sinful deceiver.}[4:107]. Allaah says in a different verse (which means): {Indeed, He does not like the arrogant.}[16:23]. There are many other verses which confirm that Allaah loves His believing slaves and hates the arrogant disbelievers. However, He loves that all his slaves would believe in Him and does not like them to disbelieve. Allaah says (which means): {If you disbelieve- indeed, Allaah is Free from need of you. And He does not approve for His servants disbelief. And if you are grateful, He approves [i.e. likes] it for you.}[39:7]. So whoever responds to Allaah's Caller (i.e. Prophet, Muhammad ), and believes in the Messenger, Allaah loves him and is pleased with him, and whoever does not respond to Allaah's Caller and disbelieves in the Prophets, may Allaah exalt their mention, Allaah dislikes him. Consequently, he deserves His Punishment.
Allaah knows best.
