Muslims ruled by non-Muslims

Question:

Why are Muslims ruled by non-Muslims? What is the reason?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

Allah Says (interpretation of meaning) in the Qur'an: {But honour, power and glory belong to Allâh, His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and to the believers,}[63:8].

Allah also Says (interpretation of meaning): {So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers.}[3:139].

The honour, power and glory of Muslims are conditioned by adhering to the Book of Allah, the Sunnah of His Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam), and by practising the teachings of the religion of Islam in their daily life.

If Muslims turn away from the way of Allah, leave His Book and the Sunnah of His Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam), replace them with the methodologies of the East and West, and seek power, honour and glory in other than the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam), then Allah will misguide them, humiliate them and let them be dominated the worst of His creatures.

Allah, The Exalted does not have any blood relationship with any of His creatures.  If people hold tight to the methodology of Allah, then Allah will give them power, honour and glory, but if they deviate from this methodology, then He would not care about them.

One of the conditions on which Allah gives victory, power and glory to the Muslims is that they hold tight to the true Iman and perform good deeds.

Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allâh, He will help you, and make your foothold firm.}[47:7].

At the advent of Islam, the Arabs were the weakest of nations on earth, the most underdeveloped, the most divided into sects and tribes and the most ignorant of people.  But when they practised and followed the religion of Islam, they united after being divided and scattered into sects, and they sought knowledge after their ignorance, until they became rulers of much of the world.

They also became the teachers of Islam to humanity and its governors… So the promice of Allah had been fulfilled for them.

Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {Allâh has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islâm). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).}[24:55].

This reality had been understood by our righteous predecessors. They expressed it in a clear, beautiful and impressive manner.  Umar (Radiya Allahu Anhu) said, 'We were the most humiliated nation and Allah has given us honour, power and glory with Islam, whenever we seek power, glory and honour in other than Islam, Allah will humiliate us.'

Imam Malik said: 'The late comers of this nation will not be righteous, except with what made the foremost to be righteous.'

So, if the Muslims and Arabs want to return to the status of the first Muslims, and to the glory, power and honour of the earliest times, they have to return to the religion of their Lord, and this is what will happen soon, Insha Allah, as these glad tidings are starting to spread across the earth and Muslims are starting to return to their religion.

Allah knows best.
