All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
As long as your cure is expected, Allah willing, you should make up for the days you missed to fast because of illness. Allah Says (what means): {But if any of you is ill or on a journey, the same number (should be made up) from other days.} [Quran 2:184]
However, you are not required to give any expiation. As for the days you missed from last Ramadan, then if you delayed making them up because of the continuity of your illness or for another legal reason, then you are asked to make them up only. But if you delayed making them up out of negligence, then you should make them up in addition to expiating, which is feeding one poor person for each day half a Saa’ (approximately one and half Kilogram [of the local staple food]).
This is the opinion of the majority of the scholars .
We ask Allah for us and for you a complete recovery from all illnesses.
Allah knows best.
