Question:
I have read a Hadith (expressed in my words): some of SAHABA came to Prophet Mohammad and said that sometimes something came to their hearts without their control and they hate these things and they said before we say (or describe) these things it is better that we put fire on us. Then Prophet Mohammad said, this is Clear Faith (IMAN SARIH). But the narrator of the Hadith was not stated. Can you tell me its narrator?
Answer:
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
This Hadith is narrated by Imam Muslim in his famous book"Sahih Muslim"
The Hadith is as fallows:
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that some people from amongst the Companions of the Apostle (may peace be upon him) came to him and said: Verily we perceive in our minds that which every one of us considers it too grave to express. He (the Prophet) said: Do you really perceive it? They said: Yes. Upon this he remarked: That is the faith manifest.
