All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
There is no Hadeeth that was reported from the Prophet that indicates the meaning which you mentioned in the question. Rather, many Hadeeths were reported with a meaning that is contrary to the one you mentioned in the question. Jaabir Ibn ‘Abdullah reported that the Prophet said: “A group of my nation will continue to fight for the Truth and they will be prevalent until the Day of Judgment, then ‘Eesa (Jesus), the son of Mary will descend, and their (the Muslims’) leader will say: “Come and lead us in prayer”, and he would respond: “No, some amongst you are leaders over some others as an honor from Allah to this nation.” [Muslim]
This Hadeeth and other Hadeeths are evidence that this nation will prevail until the Day of Judgment, Allah willing, so it is most likely that what you mentioned in the question is a fabricated Hadeeth.
Allah knows best.
