All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
As long as you have a means of communication with sinners and wrongdoers, you have to advise them and renounce their actions and sins through lawful ways.
The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, stated that advice is the basis of religion. [Muslim] He, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, also commanded a person who sees a wrongdoing to alter it by hand, if he is unable then by tongue and if unable then by heart, and this is the least degree of faith.
This should be done in a gentle and lenient manner because such people are victims who have been misguided by the devils from humans and Jinn because of their instincts and lack of awareness about religion and desires. They are sick people who need to be gently treated. Therefore, this is a kind of Da‘wah (calling to Islam), guidance and direction about which Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best.} [Quran 16:125].
The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, stated that whenever leniency exists in a certain matter it beautifies it, and if it is missing from something, it makes it faulty. [Muslim] The wording of another narration states that whenever foul words exist in any thing it makes it more flawed and imperfect, and whenever modesty exists in anything, it beautifies and adorns it.
Whenever you encourage what is good, use kindness, and whenever you forbid evil do not do so through illegal means, and pursue the way of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and of his Companions .
You should not engage with such people using frivolous means, stubbornness and argumentation as this may cause obstinacy and rejection of your advice. Moreover, it wastes your time on useless matters.
Finally, we thank you for your enthusiasm and protective zeal for your religion and we ask Allaah The Almighty to grant you success and steadfastness.
Allaah Knows best.
