All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu`alayhi wa sallam is His slave and Messenger.
The mentioned narrator is one of the narrators of Ibn Maajah which was documented by Ad-Daraqutni and Ibn Hibban also mentioned him in 'Thiqaat' (the Trustworthy).
Al-Ja'abi said about him: He narrated from Muhammad bin Salamah with reprehensible speech. Ibn Hajar mentioned this in Al-Tahdheeb, and he judged the mentioned Ismaeel in Al-Taqreeb by saying: Thiqah Yughrib (reliable, but he narrates some hadeeths singly).
Allah knows best.
