All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
The view that we adopt here at Islamweb is that it is not permissible to study such subjects that contradict the Sharee’ah except for one who is forced to study them, or when the study is for a justified reason and a significant benefit, such as highlighting the errors and disadvantages that they contain, and demonstrating the virtue of the Sharee’ah rulings over them, while benefiting from what does not contradict the noble Sharee’ah from them.
In doing so, one should deny the violations that exist in it according to his ability.
In the case where it is permissible for a person to study these subjects, then in the test there is nothing wrong with him in answering what is prescribed in the book as long as he denies it in his heart because the student is not asked in the test about his own belief and conviction, but he is asked about the curriculum that he is taught.
It is known that the answer sheets do not entail spreading evil or achieving falsehood; rather, their fate is that they are destroyed and thrown away.
Based on that, there is nothing wrong, Allah willing, for the examinee to answer in the manner he studied.
Allah Knows best.
