Reciting Surah Al-Faatihah 21 times for Ruqyah

Question:

ASSALAAMU ALAIKUM Sheikh,is there any evidence in the hadith of reciting Surah Fatiha 21 times as Ruqyah
Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

We do not know any evidence for performing Ruqyah with Al-Faatihah with this number, but the evidence is confirmed about the desirability of performing Ruqyah with Al-Faatihah, and the entire Quran is a cure as Allah Says (what means): {And We send down of the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy for the believers.} [Quran 17:82]

Nonetheless, if anyone has performed Ruqyah with this number and it was beneficial, then there is no harm in abiding by this number for the general saying of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ): “Ruqyah is permissible as long as it does not involve any Shirk.” [Muslim]
