The Cure For Whispers

Question:
Assalamualaikum! In question No. 2689101, I asked for the explanation of a nullifier of Islam: Whoever hates something that was brought by the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), even if he complies with it, is a disbeliever, because Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “That is because they hate that which Allah has sent down (this Quran and Islamic laws, etc.), so He has made their deeds fruitless” [Muhammad 47:9].The answer given contained links to some fatwas, which were helpful but still I need to clear some confusions.I am suffering from the problem of obsessions and scrupulosity, so I sometimes get in doubt that I have hated some part of Islam. There is some type of fear of becoming disbeliever by hating an Islamic ruling or part of shari'a when there is some hardship involved in following it. But as much I fear it, more distressing it gets. Sometimes a feeling of having hated some part of religion passes by, and I start to analyze it by repeating the thought in my mind to ensure that I did not really hate anything in that moment, but doing so only comes up with highlighting the reasons for which one can hate that particular thing if one wants to, and my conviction on having hated gets stronger. All of this stresses me a lot. I do face difficulties in many ways in adhering to religion due to my problem of obsessions and sometimes I am faced with unwelcomed dislikes on certain things in religion, but I do not object to any part of religion and do not want to hate it, but these problems are very depressing for me. What do I need to do to settle these issues and get certainty that I am a believer and not a hypocrite?
Answer:
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
We ask Allah to cure you.
It is very clear that your problem is purely whispers and has nothing to do with not understanding the ruling or confusions. We have clarified the matter in detail, enough to answer the doubts and inquiries you have, and regardless how long we address this issue, we will never be able to remove the whispers you have.
There is no way out for you except by treating the issue of whispers, because asking too many questions and too many details and reading more Fataawa is not a cure to the illness of having whispers. In fact, this may even add more whispers and confusions to the person.
The cure of whispers is to repel them, neglect them, not to pay attention to them at all, not to give in to them, not to ask about them and to earnestly supplicate Allah to protect you and cure you from them.
You may also see a psychiatrist and seek his help to treat yourself from whispers.
Allah knows best.
