Question:
Is the following narration authentic?
Muhammed ibn Ka‘b Al-Qurazi narrated from a person of the Ansaar (people of Madinah) that the Prophet, sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, said, "I take the oath of that the One Who sent me with the truth, you are not more acquainted with your wives and houses than the people of Paradise. A person of Paradise will come to 72 wives which Allaah specially created in Paradise (Hooris) as well as two human wives. The human wives will have virtue over them (Hooris) because they worshipped Allaah in the world.'' (At-Targheeb Vol. 4 p. 534, Ithaaf Al-khiyarah Al-Maharah)
Answer:
All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
This hadeeth was reported by Al-Munthiri in At-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb, and he attributed it to Abu Ya’la and Al-Bayhaqi.
However, Shaykh Al-Albaani classified it as Dha‘eef (weak) in Dha‘eef At-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb.
Allah knows best.
