All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
A group of Hadeeth scholars gave strength to this hadeeth:
Al-Booseeri commented on it saying, "Its chain of narration is saheeh (sound)." [It-haaf Al-Khiyrah Al-Maharah]
Al-Haythami said, "The narrators of this hadeeth were accepted and accredited by Al-Bukhari, except for ‘Uthmaan ibn Muslim Al-Batti, who was declared a trustworthy narrator by Hadeeth scholars." [Majma‘ Az-Zawaa'id]
Al-Albaani declared it authentic in his book Ahkaam Al-Janaa'iz.
Shu‘ayb Al-Arnaa’oot said in his commentary on Imaam Ahmad's Musnad, "It is Saheeh-Lighayrih (sound due to external factors, such as another hadeeth with stronger chains of narration corroborating it)."
Allah knows best.
