`Ali ibn Abi Taalib was married at the time of the Battle of Khaybar

Question:

Assalamu alaikum.When Prophet(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)send Ali(Allah be pleased with him) to Khaibar was Ali(Allah be pleased with him)married? Thank you.
Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

 

In his book At-Tabaqaat, Ibn Sa`d may Allaah have mercy upon him mentioned that `Ali ibn Abi Taalib may Allaah be pleased with him married Faatimah may Allaah be pleased with her in Rajab five months after the Prophet's arrival in Madeenah, and consummated his marriage with her when he returned from the Battle of Badr. The Battle of Khaybar, however, took place in the sixth year after Hijrah. Therefore, ‘Ali was married to Faatimah may Allaah be pleased with them both, when the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, sent him to Khaybar.
