All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
The Prophet did divorce some of his wives, among whom was Hafsah bint ‘Umar . However, it is confirmed that he, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, took her back. The Prophet said: “Jibreel (Gabriel) said to me: “Take Hafsah back, as she is a woman who frequently fasts during the day and regularly prays at night, and she will be your wife in Paradise.” [Al-Haakim]
As for the woman who sought refuge in Allaah The Almighty from the Prophet she was Umaymah bint Sharaaheel and the Prophet divorced her and it was not reported that he, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, took her back.
It is reported that the Prophet told her: “You sought refuge in The Greatest (i.e. Allaah), go back to your family”, meaning “I am divorcing you”. [Al-Bukhari]
Allaah Knows best.
