Her husband is addicted to pornography

Question:

Assalamo alaikom, I'm married for four years and have two kids. My problem is that my husband has left my bed and spends his time on watching TV movies and porn sites. I've tried everything I can to take him back to bed but he simply said go and sleep I want to watch TV, he promised me once earlier that he will never watch porn but he didn't keep his promise, we've been divorced twice (because of this same problem), should I ask for the third? as he doesn't want to have more kids while I do. I need a religous husband who can guide me and my kids to heaven. Wassalam
Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

 

It is not allowed for a husband to abandon his wife in bed for a long period that may harm her and cause her temptation without any religious reason.  It is also forbidden for him to watch pornographic movies. If the husband’s situation is as mentioned, then his wife should advise him, remind him of her right in his sharing her bed (i.e. sexual intercourse), and try to stop him from watching such movies. If he comes back to the right path then praise be to Allaah, otherwise she has the right to ask for divorce due to the harm caused to her by his behaviour. Moreover, such a person may be a reason to spoil the manners of his children. For more benefit, please refer to Fataawa 83052 and 86307.
