All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
It is permissible for a woman to cover her hands with gloves and the like during the prayer. Rather, it is better for her to cover them in order to avoid the difference of opinion because some jurists are of the view that it is an obligation for a woman to cover her hands during the prayer because they are part of her 'Awrah (parts of the body that must be covered in Islam), and this is one of the opinions of the Hanbali School of jurisprudence.
